Uttaranchal Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 on February 12, 2001 to manage and operate the transmission and distribution of power in the state of Uttaranchal. UPCL was formed with the demerger of UPPCL. The function of generation of power was entrusted to Uttaranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (UJVNL).

    In the year 2000 Pal Power Group launched its new manufacturing divisions with the name of Pal Power Equipments with the capability of manufacturing Prestressed Cement Concrete Poles, Cement Tiles, Hallow Blocks & Fencing Posts . Pal Power Equipments proves its reliability and its systematic management approach and now this division of pal power industries is the ace manufacturer of Prestressed Cement Concrete Poles (PCC Poles) 8.5 & 9 Mater , Cement Tiles & Fencing Posts of all sizes & the largest supplier in the power sectors parties like UPCL, UPPCL & TURNKEY BUYERS.

    In the year 2003 Pal Power Group launched its second manufacturing divisions with the name of Shiva Power for specialized manufacturing of Steel Tubular Poles of all sizes and very soon with the capacity of producing a large amount of Steel Tubular Poles and stringent quality control procedures during production. Shiva power has become the first choice and the biggest suppler of the Steel Tubular Poles in the Government power sectors like UPCL, UPPCL & TURNKEY BUYERS.
